The Problem
Our communities at all levels struggle to agree on what's important. This causes a variety of issues at both the collective and individual levels- ranging from civilizational risk to lack of individual purpose. To solve this "inability to agree" problem, RelevanceDAO is building a transparent, decentralized, and immutable platform to help communities reach consensus.

Communities need to agree on which problems are the most pressing. Without "problem consensus," a community could spend its energy pursuing problems that aren't high priority, while more pressing problems get worse, causing more damage to the community's future.

"Project consensus" enables communities to invest their energy into the right projects, initiatives, and companies. A community could have a perfectly prioritized problem list, but without agreement on which projects could solve them, progress will remain elusive.

As political elections highlight, we struggle to reach consensus on which people should take leadership roles. The same struggle is often seen within private companies as well. "People consensus" would enable the best leaders to get the support they need.

People vote for candidates or policies in an effort to agree on which need support.
Demand
We use free market dynamics to rank order project importance based on financial success.
Committee
Governments, religions, companies, & activists use "design by committee" planning.
Democracy nor any government framework is the end game. Capitalism nor any economic framework is the end game. Organized religion nor any spiritual framework is the end game.
Each of these institutions serve as a tool to help large groups of people evaluate what’s important, and then pursue that importance. The goal of our institutions is to help civilization progress in a meaningful direction, not be our definition of meaning.
With that foundational reason for the existence of these “institutions” in mind, we can see that democracy or capitalism or religion are not end states, but rather strategies that have and will continue to evolve.
The question becomes: is it time to build new institutions? Can we combine the best features from our legacy institutions with new features made possible by modern technologies to create a more effective, trusted, and sustainable system for guiding our decisions?
RelevanceDAO believes the answer to that question is yes.
What is RelevanceDAO?
RelevanceDAO is an early-stage crypto project.
Why a crypto project?
Helping communities agree on what's important requires a conversation. The internet is great at enabling communication, and crypto can incentivize more meaningful information exchange. Also, for a truly digital institution to succeed, people must be able to trust it over a long period of time. Blockchain technology enables that trust.
Is there a token?
RelevanceDAO does not have a token yet. We plan to launch a native token along with the early version of the project to incentivize participation.
What's the short-term plan?
Build community around the idea, seek feedback, and pick an MVP to build.
Who's behind RelevanceDAO?
Relevance was started in January of 2023 by Michael Weiss who lives in Austin, TX. You can find him in the Discord channel or on Twitter @ahumanmichael or on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-j-weiss-9522a8181/).
How can I help?
Join the Discord (https://t.co/b7SRBWOe5D) and say hello! Any ideas help at this early stage. Then a specific need: help strategizing, designing, and building the initial MVP.
